topic research: Avatars of the Gods

The traditional story I will be working with is called Avatars of the Gods. I still really like this idea as a possible story topic because this is one of my favorite tv shows and that would help me be really invested in making this story good.

Possible Topics:

1. Agni, firebender

• Guardian diety of southeast direction
• One of the 5 elements (space, water, air, earth, fire)
• Exists in 3 levels: on earth as fire, in atmosphere as lightning and in sky as sun
• Origin myth is that this god was once a bird bringing fire from gods to mankind
• There are multiple Agni's in a series and currently this is their 4th
• Discovered and brought from waters

2. Varuna, waterbender

• diety associated with sky and seas, god of oceans
• guardian diety of western regions
• guardian of moral law

3. Bhumi, earthbender

• Hindu avatar of goddess Prithvi and represents Mother Earth
• goes by various names

4. Vayu, airbender

• lord of winds 
• described to have exceptional beauty
• other deities realize they can only function when empowered by Vayu and he can easily overpower them
• multiple avatars of Vayu
